Kaohsiung is to cut the price of its monthly public transportation pass to NT$399 this month, while Tainan is to offer its own monthly pass for NT$299 next month, the cities’ governments announced this week. The Kaohsiung Bureau of Transportation said the city’s monthly pass — currently priced at NT$1,250 — would be sold at the discounted price on the MeNGo app from April 27.

Resorts World One cruise ship arrived on Tuesday (April 4) at Port of Kaohsiung for its voyage from the southern Taiwan port, CNA reported. Resorts World One has launched a Kaohsiung and Hong Kong dual home port itinerary starting from April. The cruise ship departs from Kaohsiung for Hong Kong twice a week. The 4-day, 3-night voyage departing from Kaohsiung on Monday will go to Hong Kong via Penghu, per CNA.
