Global Harbor Cities Forum

2016 Global Harbor Cities Forum
2016 Global Harbor Cities Forum

The Global Harbor Cities Forum provides an interactive venue for the world’s harbor cities to exchange ideas, collaborate, and form consensus with each other based on cooperative ties among international harbor cities, allowing them to promote the cities’ industrial transformation and urban development. Having erased the lines that had once separated its harbor and city, Kaohsiung’s previous experiences perfectly convey the beauty and hopes of harbor cities. Such awareness inspired Kaohsiung City to initiate the formulation of “The First Global Harbor Cities Forum,” a platform for exchange and interaction, in 2016. The opportunity enabled Kaohsiung City to interact with the leaders and representatives from 50 important harbor cities from around the world, establish cooperative relations, and achieve consensus on various issues such as industrial, tourism, sustainability, and more.

As the vision of “Supporting Harbors Through Cities, Improving Cities Through Harbors” is progressively formulated in reality, the commitment to continue holding Global Harbor Cities Forums in the future remains strong. The Global Harbor Cities Forum welcomes the participation of all leaders and representatives from harbor cities all around the world to form friendly relations, establish multifaceted cooperation, and look forward to a future without limits for harbor cities worldwide together.
